 Pausing for 2-3 minutes during a lecture/clinical teaching can significantly increase short-term memory and embed knowledge into students’ long-term memory (Ruhl, et al., 1987; Prince, 2004). Join this session to see how closing pauses can provide opportunities to capture learning, review, integrate, apply, and summarize.

 Objectives:

• Critique examples of closing pauses
• Develop your own closing pauses
