We are very pleased to announce that Kristopher Peterson (HQ AFMC/A5RC) will be our speaker on 25 May 2023 (Thursday), 11:30 – 1:30 PM, 2800 Presidential Drive, Holiday Inn, Fairborn, Ohio. Kris will discuss “Understanding of Capability Integration”.

Abstract: Capability Integration must support the transition of Capability Development through Capability Requirements by understanding the Concept Required Capability (CRC): capabilities the Joint Force must have to successfully execute strategies and operational concepts (Source:  JS/J8 Supporting Concepts to the Joint Warfighting Concept); thus, achieving how we address the Capability Gap (the how we do it vs. what we buy). Understanding the AFMC role into the process and how a concept makes it into a capability that becomes a contract action or a process to take what’s currently there and use it in a different way. How to keep the right focus on what’s needed vs. what’s wanted.

Kristopher Peterson (NH-04, DAF) is Chief, Capability Integration Branch, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), WPAFB. Kris has more than 19 years’ experience as a program manager in AFMC/A5R, AFRL/711 HPW, AFLCMC and Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC) program offices, including: SOF, LAIRCOM, KC-46, Combat Electronics, CIP, F-119 Engines, and F-117. And five years’ experience as a logistics manager.
