Heat Pumps for Houses of Worship

Are you part of a congregation eager to electrify as much and as quickly as possible to reduce your carbon emissions associated with direct fossil fuel use?

Have you been encouraged by the MassSave rebates that make installing heat pumps more financially feasible for many congregations? Installing heat pumps, wherever possible, makes good sense from an energy savings and wise stewardship perspective.

Join MassIPL for a webinar on installing heat pumps in Houses of Worship.

  • What are the challenges unique to houses of worship for you to consider?
  • What can we learn from experts in the field and others who are installing and using heat pumps?

Guest speakers for this webinar include:

  • Matt Bean, principal at Norian/Siani Engineering, who has designed heat pump systems for HOWs and will give us an overview of the factors to consider.

  • Susan Adams, head of the stewards committee at West Concord Union Church, which is converting their heating system from fossil fuel to heat pumps this summer.

  • Mark Morgan, the energy efficiency leader at Faith Lutheran Church in Andover, which is an all-electric facility that has been using heat pumps for most of their heating for a number of years.

Presentations will be followed by Q & A.

If you are a member of your house of worship's "green team", property committee, finance committee, or just a member who is interested in converting to heat pumps for your building, come to this event to learn how others have done it!
