Join us for the 18th Anniverary of the NCLI Program. To celebrate, CT State Parks is changing up things a bit.  You and your family will experience some new events (as well as enjoying some of the ole' favorites), as well as meet some new DEEP partners and friends. NCLI's new Families in the Parks Program 2023 expands on the Great Park Pursuit Family Adventure Program by reaching more families and youth, while also extending the season and locations of activities.  You, your families and the children in your care can enjoy a variety of FREE, fun and educational outdoor recreational activities.  Visit State Park and Forest locations for boating, fishing, forestry, hiking, geology, Nature Center and Museum Days, StoryWalks and much more.  Or you can find us along with our Mascot "Nuts 2" and friends at library propgrams, pop-up events and other family-friendly sites doing programs. You are also welcome to join us for cool weekly or monthly outdoor discoveries including seasonal festivals, scavenger hunts, self-guided challenges and more.  Enjoy time together and reconnect with the outdoors, nature and each other.  Through this program, families will get outside and join CT DEEP and its partners for free, family fun.   Once registered, families who attend and participate in at least 10 events/programs/activities or adventures between May 13, 2023 and December 31, 2023 ; check-in at the registration table at each event; hand-in their activity card at guided events and/or photo submittal for semi-guided events; provide any required information for self-guided events; and fill out and send in the NCLI Families in the Parks Google Form at the end of the program-December 2023 (the members of your family who registrered for the program), will be eligible for 2 nights of camping in one of our CT State Park or Forest campgrounds during the 2024 Camping Season.
