The National Child Welfare Workforce Institute (NCWWI) is excited to announce our NEW Communicators' Forum  for communications professionals that support public, private, and tribal child welfare programs.

Join us quarterly to brainstorm ideas and discuss best practices on a particular issue, and network with colleagues around the country.

FIRST FORUM: Wednesday, May 31, 2023, 2:00 - 3:00 pm ET

TOPIC: Using Effective Communication to Advance Systems Transformation and Build Partnerships

Child welfare professionals support families and make positive daily impacts, but child welfare work is often only visible to community members when tragedy occurs. That’s a problem because one entity cannot solve community issues. To succeed, we must increase community collaboration and improve partnerships. This will be hard to do without first shifting attitudes and opinions about child welfare. What are the root causes that have led to public perception issues? What solutions would address misinformation or lack of information? How can we communicate that we are working toward establishing prevention services that are equitable and just for all children, youth, and families? Are there resources that could be developed to help child welfare programs explain their role in the community? Join us for what is sure to be a great conversation!
