Exploring Three Management & Improvement Systems

May 18th Breakfast Webinar

In today’s complex world, leaders need a system — a framework to help sort through complexity and a proven method to manage and improve their enterprise.  This goes for CEOs of large, multinational corporations, as well as managers of teams and departments — in  both businesses and nonprofits of all types.  But sometimes even understanding and sorting through all the options available becomes challenging!

The Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence and the Performance Excellence Network (PEN) are pleased to host an online webinar discussion on Thursday, May 18: “Exploring 3 Management and Improvement Systems.”  The discussion will feature three speakers, each giving a short “TEDtalk” overview of how their organization implements strategy:

  • Tom Henry, CFO of Episcopal Homes, will explore the Baldrige Excellence Framework, a system of evidence-based proven leadership and management practices for high performance
  • Rick Kuula, CEO of Solutia Consulting, will explore the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), a set of concepts & tools that form a business management system (mainly for small businesses or sub parts of larger organizations)
  • Andrew Adelmann, Director of Evaluation and Organizational Improvement at Designs for Learning, will explore the concepts of Reinventing Organizations, a new way of organizing and managing work created by Frederic Laloux

All three will share why their organizations chose their system, how they got started, what value they’ve generated, and a few insights regarding designing and implementing their system.  Interestingly, all three systems have similarities: they all address leadership, strategy, managing people, managing change, among other things.  But they have distinct differences that potentially make one more appealing than others in fitting with an organization’s culture.  None are perfect; all are useful. And any of them could benefit you and your organization.

This session is Thursday, May 18 from 8:00-9:00 CT (optional networking and mingling 7:45-8:00) using Zoom MEETING. Grab your favorite morning liquids and solids and join us for a rich discussion. Free for WCPE/PEN members; $20 for non-members.
