About Women In Defense Space Coast Chapter (WIDSC): WIDSC was founded in 2013. Our mission is to provide networking and professional development opportunities for women’s roles in national defense and security, support military service members, and encourage partnerships within the local contractor community, defense industry and military personnel. WIDSC supports the advancement of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). We established the Space Coast STEM Scholarship Program and award scholarships to women of merit to help them pursue educational career goals. Since its inception, the organization has awarded over $75,000 in scholarships and contributed to numerous STEM-sponsored events. Our Space Coast Chapter is hosting the WID Florida Leadership Retreat in Cocoa Beach and you are invited to a poolside social on August 17th to mingle with other members.
Bring a friend and join others from Florida who have an interest in education and careers for women in all aspects of national security and defense.
Together we can help to build a more diverse and stable workforce for the Space Coast and beyond!
