Managing Accommodation Request ADA

The objective of the presentation is to define what is an accommodation, how to determine if a requested accommodation is feasible and how it should be processed. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity evaluate three accommodations request scenarios in a breakout session.

Kareema Gathers

Using her fifteen-year background in retail management and six and a half years in Higher Education, Kareema has realized that employees are every organization’s greatest resources. Because of this realization she has strived to make the workplace as accessible and accommodating as feasible for all employees. As a Human Resources professional Kareema is able to impact and influence leadership team members to change the conversation surrounding workplace accommodations.

Kareema holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) from Mercy College, she is SHRM Certified Human Resources Professional and has received a certification from Cornel University in Diversity and Inclusion. She is scheduled to graduate June 20, 2023, from Leadership Westchester NY, Leadership Program.

Fun Fact about Kareema, she has participated in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade three times.
