Korean Barbecue is headed South! Dunning's Market will be hosting a Korean BBQ Plate Jam on June 22nd.
Chef Won Kim of Kimski Resturant will be here and I am super excited to be able to cook with him! We will be preparing a traditional Korean barbcue platter. They are flavorful and delicious!
What is the difference between Korean barbecue and American barbecue you ask ... American barbecue centers around large cuts of smoked meat and Korean barbecue is based on smaller marinated cuts of meat. The sides are homemade red kimchi, rice, pickles, green leaf lettuce for wraping, and scallion salad. And of course the protien! You can chose from perfectly spiced and sliced pork, smoked beef loin, or bulgogi mushrooms.
If it were me, I would order a combo platter so I could try all three. :)
