Florida's New E-Verify Requirement Effective July 1, 2023: Is Your Company Ready? 

Beginning July 1, 2023, Florida employers with twenty-five (25) or more employees will be required to use the federal government's E-Verify system to confirm a prospective employee's authorization to work in the United States. Are you prepared?

On May 10,2023, Senate Bill 1718 (SB 1718) was passed by the Florida Legislature requiring that Florida's private employers with 25 or more employees us the federal E-Verify system to confirm prospective employee's authorization to work in the United States.  SB 1718 also provides steep penalties for employers who are found in violation of its requirements.
