UnConference Explained: 

Unconference is a unique event format that allows for participants to create on-demand, participant-led solutions in a collaborative setting. Unconference (aka Open Space Technology) has been around since 1985 and has been used all over the world with group of 5 to groups of 2000 to address multiple situations. It is a highly participatory process to address just about any issue.

Unconference is an event format that has no set agenda…instead it:

  • allows participants to learn exactly what they feel they need to learn;
  • pairs people with similar desires so that they can learn from each other;
  • allows participants to access on-demand knowledge and problem-solving;
  • participants convene & connect regardless of program-design, geography or job title;
  • allows participants to showcase their own knowledge, ideas, successes & failures
