Come out to network! This is a great opportunity for German expats to meet and for others to practice their German. Speaking German is encouraged but not required. We meet every month (every other month is in Birmingham).

Karin with the BierShack will be serving up a German buffet of brats, pork schnitzel, sauerkraut, bread, fries, salad and soft drinks/bottled water. Please note the fee includes one dinner, tax, and gratuities. German beer is available and can be purchased separately. 

We will be joined by Linda b. Spangrud, Executive Director for Foley Sister Cities Board of Commissioners. Learn about her delegation trip to Hennef, Germany, earlier this month as Foley and Hennef are working together in a Sister Cities Partnership. Hennef will be sending a delegation in October and as of next year the two cities with start exchange student programs.

What does "Stammtisch" mean? A Stammtisch is an informal group meeting held on regularly, and also the usually large table around which the group meets. A Stammtisch is not a structured meeting, but rather a friendly and casual get-together.
