We're excited to announce that Evonik Corporation in Birmingham, a German company, headquartered in Essen, will be opening their doors to the AGP Young Professionals. This is a free event and an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about the German-Alabama biomedical industry including a company presentation on operations and career opportunities as well as an operations tour and networking session. 

 Evonik will offer time for refreshment and networking, followed by: 

  • Overview of Evonik Worldwide
  • Overview of Evonik Birmingham including polymer, drug delivery, and medical device businesses
  • Career Opportunities in the industry
  • Q&A 
  • Tour & Discussion on microbiology, analytical development, quality assuarance & control, production (specifically drug delivery), warehousing, and process development/technology transfer.
  • Opportunity to view fill lines

Evonik Corporation Birmingham Labs provides drug delivery, Biomaterials and manufacturing services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies. Our three primary business lines are used for the development and licensing of proprietary drug delivery technologies, manufacture and sale of custom and standard biodegradable polymers, and manufacture of clinical trial and commercial drug products.

The Young Professionals group is under the AlabamaGermany Partnership umbrella. Its members are interns, co-op or employees of either an Alabama-Germany company or institution. The age requirement is 17 to 39. This also includes college students, grad students studying German language, international business, science and engineering. The group will promote international education, individual career development and promotion of Alabama-German companies and workforce development. Learn more about the group here.
