Join RISE & Main Street Vermilion for a presentation by local entrepreneur, Jacqui Adkins! Jacqui is the owner of Mistakes on the Lake and owner of Main St Threads in Vermilion. She has experience in running both a successful online store and a brick & mortar storefront! She is ready to share with peers the pros and cons of each and best practices to be successful!
Jacqui Adkins is a 38 year old Firelands High School graduate & current Vermilion, OH resident. In 2017, Jacqui turned social media page ‘Mistakes on the Lake’ into an online Ohio apparel company. Self taught & starting out of her home, she focused on growing her business in dreams of one day being able to work for herself. In 2021, Jacqui had gained over 250,000 followers and her dream came true as she acquired a space for Mistakes on the Lake’s fulfillment center.
In 2022, following the success of MistakesontheLake.com, Jacqui ventured into the brick & mortar world with opening Main Street Threads on Main Street in Vermilion, OH. Main Street Threads offers a “home” for Mistakes on the Lake apparel along with other clothing, accessories & gifts for women, men & children.
We are hosting this Speaker Series in partnership with Main Street Vermilion, a non-profit organization who works to promote downtown economic and business development, historic preservation, community revitalization, beautification and tourism.
