Please join us for the 36th annual Harvest Moon Regatta! 

The 150 nautical-mile race begins at the Pleasure Pier in Galveston and follows the Texas coast to Port Aransas over the course of 2 days and 2 nights, when the night sky is dominated by the beautiful harvest moon!

Everyone is invited to participate as a crew member.

Gain valuable offshore sailing experience and add to your sailing certifications.

 Available certifications:                                                                                           ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising                                                                     ASA 103 Combo Basic Coastal Cruising                                                               ASA 104 Bareboat Chartering                                                                               ASA 114 Cruising Catamaran

Additionally, sailors will be provided with a wristband to attend the BBQ banquet in Port Aransas and Sailor Rum Party! 

 *All prerequisites for ASA courses must be completed prior to departure.

The regatta is sponsored by Lakewood Yacht Club.

  • Friday, 10/20   7:00 p.m. - HMR Skippers' Meeting at LYC

Race Events Schedule

  • Wednesday, 10/25 9:00 a.m. - Check-in at SCSA
Discussions including Saftey/ Emergency Situations, Boat Systems, Provisioning, Weather, Chart Plotting, Navigation/Route Planning, On the Water Skills
  • Thursday, 10/26 2:00 p.m. - First Division Start 
Our division start time will be announced       
  • Saturday, 10/28 1:00 p.m. 
Finish Deadline
  • Saturday, 10/28 - Port A. Activities        
1:00 p.m. - Provision for return trip and begin course work
4:30 p.m. - Sailor Rum Party
5:00 p.m. - BBQ Banquet 
7:00 p.m. - Awards Presentation

Pricing

 Prices range from $995 - $1995 depending upon certifications, club membership and registration date. Prices do not include provisioning.

  • ASA 106 Advanced Coastal Cruising Galveston to Port Aransas only: $1,295*
  • ASA 103, 104 - Port Aransas to Galveston Only - $1,095*
  • Regatta one-way with no certifications - $1,195*
  • Roundtrip with no certifications - $1,995*
  • Roundtrip with one certification - $2,095*
  • Add on ASA 114 certification (Return trip only) - $400*

A $500 non-refundable deposit per person is due to reserve your spot.
