Implicit Bias Training Registration

This Implicit Bias training is facilitated by the African Diaspora Mental Health Association.  It will educate both the individual and the organization about Implicit Bias as it relates to race. There is a clear emphasis of how not recognizing theses biases supports Racial and Ethnic Disparities (RED) in both the individual and organizational structure. This training aids in the removal of shame and the reduction of white fragility when discussing race, and allows for a more expansive diagnosis when dealing with racism at the organization level. This training shows the participants that implicit bias is both predictive and preventative. This training concludes by aiding individuals and organizations with key strategies to engage when dealing with its own biases.

This event is being hosted by The Stop Access Drug Free Communities Coalition, the Springfield Department of Health & Human Services, and the Springfield Office of Health and Racial Equity.

This event has been sponsored by the Springfield Youth Mental Health Coalition (YMHC).  The YMHC aims to distigmatize mental health in the Greater Springfield area and with community, determine preventative methods to safeguard youth mental health.  One of our initiatives is to provide Community Education and Professional Development to those living and working in Springfield and surrounding areas.

To aid in the YMHC's ability to continue funding this initiative, after the training, please take about 4 minutes to complete this brief feedback survey.  This also helps ensure we are providing trainings that are relevant to the current needs in our community.

Thank you again for signing up for this training!
