Biennial Convention

 July 27-29, 2023

Join us at our Pastors' Gathering and Biennial Convention at Tabor College in Hillsboro, KS to hear what God is doing among our district churches. This year's theme is "See the Need, Meet the Need." Our theme verse is Proverbs 14:23 "In all labor there is profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty." 

Pastors' Gathering and Convention speakers will be from among USMB pastors and leaders. We will celebrate the ministry of our conference churches and look forward to what God will do in and through us in the future. Stay connected to the SDC website as we near the event!


The Pastors' Get-Together, which begins Thursday July 27, is for credentialled pastors (active or retired), their families, and other invited guests. Click here for the Pastors' Get-Together schedule. Enjoy worship, speaker sessions, encouragement, and fellowship. Dinner Thursday and lunch Friday are included. 

Registration is $50/per person for adults, and $25/per child (up to age 18). Childcare is provided on site with loving care, stories, games, crafts, and activities. Children will join their parents for meals.

Our 2023 biennial Convention is on Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29. In addition to worship, speaker sessions, and fellowship, we will receive 5 new churches into district membership, vote on a 2-year budget for the district, and elect district leadership for the next biennium.  Click here for the Convention Schedule. 

 Registration is $65/per person for all adult attendees and guests, and $25/child (up to age 18). This includes Friday night dinner, convention materials, and activities. Childcare is provided on site with loving care, stories, games, crafts, and activites. Children will join their parents for meals.

Guests should make their own accommodations. Click here for a list of hotels and rates that has been provided for your convenience. While we strive to provide accurate information, we do not have a block of reserved rooms, and we cannot guarantee these rates. 

Tabor College is offering rooms in their student townhouses for Convention attendees. These houses have 2 bedrooms that share a bathroom. Each room has 2 Twin xl beds, which are not bunked, with room for up to 2 children on sleeping bags or air mattresses on the floor. You will need to bring your own sheets and blankets, towels, toiletries, sleeping bags or air mattresses for children, etc. The cost is $60/room (2 beds) for one night. If you are staying for both Thursday and Friday night (for the Pastors’ Get-Together), the cost for the second night is only $10/room. Rooms are quite limited, so please plan accordingly.

PLEASE NOTE: Have all your information ready before you begin to register. Once you begin the registration form, you must complete all information for your registration to be completed.  If you exit before completion, you will not be able to go back and complete the information, and you will not be able to register again except with a different email address.
