In this training participants will learn how to identify eating disorder signs and symptoms. They will also learn what medical complications are associated with eating disorders and finally they will learn emerging treatment modalities to use for people with eating disorders.

Dr. Suki Conrad, MD, is board certified in Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent psychiatry. She has worked at multiple levels of care including inpatient, subacute, residential, PHP, and outpatient. She recently obtained her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist credential through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professions.

Learner Objectives

  1. Identify individuals at risk for disordered eating and how to begin the screening and assessment process for the diagnosis and treatment of eating disorders.
  2. Increase understanding of the medical and psychiatric complications related to eating disorders.
  3. Evaluate established and emerging treatment modalities based on available research data
