Goals: To increase the attendee’s awareness of ethical issues facing rehabilitation nurses and case managers. Following the leadership forum, the learner will be able to:

1. Name the 8 principles of the code of professional conduct for case managers.

2. State the difference between the rules of conduct and the standards of conduct for case managers.

3. Verbalize the procedure for processing complaints.

4. Define both ethics and bias.

5. Differentiate between ethics and bias.

6. Discuss how bias works to affect our decisions and interactions.

7. Utilize tools for assessing internal and external bias as well as ways to counteract bias.
