Jo Ann experienced a dream visitation by Archangel Gabriel while recovering from a life-threatening illness in 2014.  She came to understand that this visitation was her calling by God to use her gifts as a “Lightworker” to help humanity on Earth.  JoAnn began a path to become an Energy Healer by completing Eden Energy Medicine Foundations.   She is now a Reiki Master Teacher and an Integrated Energy TherapyŽ Master-Instructor.  She is also a Sanctioned Healer  and director of the Healing Program with the Oneonta Chapter of the Institute for Spiritual Development. In all her practices and teachings, she strives to impart that true health is a balance of physical, mental and spiritual bodies.

ISD Oneonta Healing Certification Program

Reiki One

Although it this class is a requirement for the healing certification program, you don’t have to be a student in the healing certification to register.  Registration is open to Anyone at all levels in their development.    Click here for Program Description, to meet the faculty, and see tuition rates.  You may register for the whole program, or for just this class at the "Register Now" Link to the right. Those who choose to take the whole program become sanctioned healers for ISD, and are certified to practice healing at ISD Services & events. You can also just take the classes one at a time- they do not have to be in sequence - and register separately.  You may, if you prefer, take the classes over a longer time period, as they will keep repeating. Reiki is universal life force energy.  This Japanese technique is used for stress reduction, relaxation and balance.  If one's chi is low or blocked, then we are more likely to become ill or feel stress.  When chi is high, we are better able to be healthy and happy in mind, body and spirit.

Reiki clears and balances the life force energy allowing for the body to best care for itself.   It is an essential tool for those caring for themselves and loved ones.  Reiki complements other treatments.

You will learn the history of Reiki including lineage, be introduced to the chakra system, receive attunements for increased power and effectiveness, and learn traditional hand positions for healing self and others. Techniques and tips on how you may personalize your sessions will be shared.  Students will participate in both a chakra clearing and healing meditation.

You will be able to practice and ask questions.  You will receive a manual and certificate.  As your Reiki teacher, JoAnn will be available for ongoing support.
