About Joe: Joe has over 30 years of experience in higher education and nonprofit fundraising for organizations in the areas of major gifts and planned giving. For the past twenty years, he has been with the Oklahoma City Community Foundation and for the last sixteen in the role of assisting donors and organizations with estate, business and family giving. He is on the executive team of the foundation, serving as the Vice President of Development. His primary duties include oversite of all development activities of the foundation with a focus on educating and working with non-profits, professional advisors and their clients on structuring philanthropic plans that best meet the donor’s charitable goals and objectives. In addition, he develops and presents continuing education classes for all advisor groups on the technical aspects of gift planning, the psychology of donor giving and the advantages that charitable giving can provide.
He is a current member and past president of the Oklahoma Association of Charitable Gift Planners, is on the board of the National Community Foundation Development Board Association (AdNet) and is a member of the OKC Estate Planning Council. He is a graduate of the American College’s Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) program and serves as the moderator for the OKC CAP cohorts. Prior to joining OCCF he held development positions with the Children’s Hospital Foundation, St. Gregory’s University, and Oklahoma City University. Joe received his undergraduate degrees in Finance, Marketing and Economics from Oklahoma City University, where he attended on a baseball scholarship. He and his wife, Lori, have an eighteen-year-old son, Jaxon.

CPE Credits are based on a 50-minute hour. State boards of accounting have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Attendee accepts responsibility to determine if the course meets acceptable guidelines set forth by their reporting authority.
