Aging and Wellness: Tests, Measurements, and Inflammation

 Virtual attendance = Live credit!

Are chronic diseases inevitable with aging?

What does an aging brain look like?

How does inflammation play a role in aging?

This virtual workshop is an exciting new topic that connects numerous dots. An informative lecture will provide a greater understanding of age-related physiological changes and causes of low grade, chronic systemic inflammation. Plus interactive practical lab segments include functional strength tests and basic measurements for health, an introduction to “functional ranges” of selected blood tests, and more!

  • Physiological changes associated with aging
  • Inflammation and chronic disease myths
  • Functional strength and movement testing
  • Key vital sign measurements to track
  • Role of DNA testing and what the rehab professional needs to know
  • Functional ranges of selected relevant lab markers

By the completion of the workshop you will be able to:

  1. Describe wellness strategies that address common physiological changes associated with aging.
  2. Discuss the difference between pathological and functional ranges in selected lab tests.
  3. Perform tests and measurements as presented.
  4. Explain the role of inflammation in aging and chronic disease.
