Prediabetes, Diabetes, and      Metabolic Syndrome

More than half of US adults are prediabetic or diabetic. According to the CDC, 6 out of 10 US adults have 1 chronic disease, 4 out of 10 US adults have 2 or more chronic diseases. Prediabetes and Type 2 Diabetes are two preventable chronic diseases plaguing the United States and worldwide. This morning workshop will present important statistics and resources for you and your patients. We will discuss risk tests, the continuum from insulin resistance to Type 2 Diabetes, and apply the physiology of Type 2 Diabetes relevant to patient care.
