Brass Mill and Casting Plant

Our afternoon begins with lunch followed by tours of both facilities ending with an After Hours Reception.

 Wieland Rolled Products North America’s integrated brass mill in East Alton, Illinois is its main operating facility, which casts and rolls copper and copper alloy strip products that are sold directly to end customers, sold to its affiliate, Wieland Metal Services, or shipped to Rolled Products downstream operations for further value-added processing.

Did you know?  Wieland has a strong network of production and service companies meetng customer needs in the main markets Asia, USA and Europe. Megatrends such as globalization, urbanization, and digitization require copper – from Wieland.                                                                 


Tour Schedule 

Noon – 1:00 p.m.:  Registration/Lunch 
1:00 – 2:00 p.m.: Intro to Wieland and Tour Safety Information.
2:00 – 3:00 p.m.: Two groups:
Group 1 transport to Brass Mill
Group 2 walk to Casting
Once finished both groups return to Plant 4.
3:00 – 4:00 p.m.: Groups 1 & 2 switch tour destinations
4:00 – 5:00 p.m.: All convene for After Hours Reception 

 Tour Attire and PPE

As you know,Wieland Rolled Products North America is a manufacturer and falls within the strict safety regulations from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) as well as other federal and state agencies. Because of these rules and regulations, we ask that all visitors touring the site wear the following:

  • Long pants - jeans suggested
  • Short or long-sleeved shirt - no tanks
  • PPE: hard hats, safety glasses, steel toed shoes 

Wieland is able to provide visitors with all necessary personal protective equipment as requested.

Cancellation Policy: 1. Full Refund: If you provide a notification of cancellation at least two weeks prior to the event date, you will be eligible for a full refund. 2. Cancellation within Two Weeks: Any cancellations made within two weeks of the event date will not be eligible for a refund. In such cases, the full fee amount will be charged. 3. Member Substitutions: If you are unable to attend the event, you have the option to substitute another member in your place. Member substitutions are allowed at any time leading up to the event.
