Please join us for an overnight summer sail to Moody Gardens on Galveston Island! On Saturday, August 12 we will exhibit and tour the Moody Gardens Air, Car & Boat Show.

This weekend trip offers a quick vacation close to home!

Sailors will benefit from opportunities to explore new destinations in the Galveston Bay area, while practicing bareboat techniques. Also learn to navigate the Houston Ship Channel. Upon arrival, explore Moody Gardens attractions! All guests will receive a wristband to attend the Moody Gardens Air, Car & Boat Show. Join us for an action-packed weekend! Featuring sensational boats, a unique air show and a tour of classic cars. 

Friday, August 11

  6:00pm - Check-in followed by skipper & crew briefing at South Coast Sailing. The group will provision the boat and go over boat systems.

Saturday, August 12

  8:00am - Departure for Galveston Island.

12:00pm - Afternoon arrival at Moody Gardens Marina.

  2:00pm - Air show

  3:30pm - Explore Moody Gardens' exhibits

  7:30pm - Dinner ashore

  9:00pm - Fireworks at Palm Beach

Sunday, August 13

Breakfast; Depart for Seabrook by 11:30am.

*Moody Gardens Air, Car & Boat Show tickets are included in event cost. Taxi service is available on site to explore other areas of the island.

• Boat Show Viewing/Expo (Central Parking Lot Tent) 10am - 6pm
• Airshow (Viewing Around Property) 2pm - 3:20pm
• Fireworks 9pm Palm Beach
