Our focus in all of our trainings is to engage participants by ensuring that there is lots of small group interaction, practice, and support.
As with our Basic and Live (on site) trainings, this is not an asynchronous training - rather we focus on learning, practicing, and implementing. We provide extensive materials including: prefix, root, and suffix cards, games, worksheets, and soon we will be sharing videos on our new website. We look forward to seeing you again.
This Orton-Gillingham International Advanced Morphology course builds on the decoding, reading, and writing skills in the OGI Basic Course adding the more indepth skills provided by a knowledge of morphology. Understanding more about word origins - Greek, Latin, Anglo Saxon that are the foundation of our language grows reading skills, builds vocabulary, and enhances decoding skills. This allows students to effectively tackle materials in all subject areas and at all reading levels.
The required pre-requsite for this class is the Yoshimoto Basic Training (40 hours). If you have taken a course from another organization or trainer please do not register for this class as it is the continuation of the Y-OGI basic class and as such requires previous knowledge and materails.
