The Children’s Garden Jamboree is a free, family-focused event to celebrate the official opening of the garden at Los Guilicos and recognize the many volunteers and donors who contributed to its restoration after the 2020 Glass Fire. It features a vegetable and pollinator themed garden. All of the food produced goes to the Valley of the Moon Children’s Center and in the future the garden will be used to educate school children especially in under-served communities about sustainable gardening.
The Jamboree will showcase the many Master Gardener projects across the county and include youth activities, garden demonstrations and presentations. There will also be a pop-up succulent sale. Supervisor Susan Gorin is the featured speaker for the event.
