Running A Child Care Business

Running a child care business today can be very overwhelming.  There are already a bunch of factors to consider in order to start a business, childcare businesses are even more confusing. In this workshop we are going to discuss the basics of what state licensing requirements are to operate a child care business.  We are going to discuss the current state of the market regarding child care.  We are also going to talk about hiring, paying and incentivizing employees.  

Presenter and SCORE Mentor John Stewart is a Multi-Business Owner.  He has owned businesses since 2007.  He currently has 27 team members in his companies.  His companies teach martial arts and run after school programs. He has a tremendous amount of experience in growing a team, hiring, firing, promoting and most importantly company culture.  Most importantly he is the biggest student he knows.  He started mentoring with SCORE in June 2020.  He has received a lot of help in his life from great mentors, and he wanted to give back by helping other small business owners and future owners learn how to start and grow a business.
