An historical exploration of the development and form of AnglicanChristianity that emerged in the American Episcopal Church fromits initial planting in Jamestown in 1607 to the present day. We willconsider the development of a new form of church governance, regionaldifferences in practice and polity, missionary strategies, and the overallresponse of the Episcopal Church to the needs of Episcopal communitiesof the faithful in the diverse religious landscape of the United States.
