Prevention LEADS: Leadership, Empowerment, Administration, Development, Supervision

This is a professional development opportunity for current managers, supervisors, and experienced prevention educators/coordinators looking to grow in their careers within the violence prevention and/or nonprofit sector. The training will explore different facets and strategies of both leadership and management. Topics will include building and maintaining partnerships, managing transition, and team building. Management topics may include program development, systems and structure, and supervision.

 Audience: This in-person training is open to managers supervising violence prevention efforts in California including the Rape Prevention Education (RPE)/Sexual and Domestic (SD) Violence programs. This training is also open to seasoned prevention practitioners with more than two years of experience working in sexual violence and intimate partner violence prevention programs who are interested in moving into management-level positions.

This training will take place at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove, CA on Wednesday, January 10th, 2023, from 10am to 5pm, and Thursday, January 11th, 2023, from 9am to 3pm.
