Ethics in the Client-Counselor Relationship 

Upon completion of both sessions, this two-part training event will award 3.5 contact hours for LMSW and LCSW with the NYSED State Board for Social Work and 3.5 contact hours for LMHC and LMFT with the NYSED State Board for Mental Health Practitioners and 3.5 CASAC renewal credits.

This training will educate attendees about how to navigate in the counseling relationship which can, by nature, be fraught with ethical dilemmas.  Topics to be covered will include ethical principles, ethical dilemmas, ethical dilemma problem solving, ethical codes, confidentiality, and relationships with clients, competence, technology and informed consent.  There will be a discussion of case studies during the training, as well as opportunity to discuss hypothetical cases brought to the training by the participants.

This training will be offered via ZOOM. Pre-registration is required and will be closed on 9/13/2023 (or when attendance capacity is reached). A Zoom link will be made available to you 48 hours prior to event date.

YOU HAVE TO UTILIZE YOUR DEVICE CAMERA IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CEUs. You must be able to watch the webinar, calling in alone without watching the presentation will not meet requirements for contact hours.
