9am-12pm: Program (3CEUs)
All dental professionals are welcome to attend this annual end-of-the-year CE event, co-sponsored by Catherine A. Hebert, DDS (Endodontic & Implant Center). This is an educational program only - no association business will be conducted at this event.
CE Program: "Contemporary Endodontics for Recent Graduates & Experienced Dentists"
About this course: Most undergraduate dental schools have many curriculums and devote minimal time to clinical endodontics. This lecture is dedicated to such issues as practical diagnosis, the importance of straight line access, when to refer, how to achieve profound anesthesia, various instrumentation techniques and obturation options. This presentation will also help the experienced clinician who still has questions about an individual technique or concept. Furthermore, a drill-free post system will be introduced as well as a new method to increase magnification and visibility. (EZscope)
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will:
1) Have a better understanding where endodontics fits into the overall treatment plan.
2) Know what the key is to the long term preservation of the endodontically treated tooth.
3) Realize the multiple applications of a piezo electric ultrasonic.
4) Understand how to clean and fill canals in a three dimensional manner.
5) Recognize the value of bioceramic technology in obturation and perforation repairs.
