Session 1: DB2 IBM i Tools in VS Code
(4:30pm - 5:30pm)

IBM is excited to share that we’re working on database functionality inside of Visual Studio Code. At this session, we’ll demonstrate and explain the new Database extension found within Code for IBM i. You will see the speed and simplicity of working with Db2 for i, alongside developing modern applications, all in one space.

Session 2: Navigator - As you've never seen it before
(7:30pm - 8:30pm)

In this new session, Scott & Tim will explore Navigator features and demonstrate how this feature rich GUI is built upon the shoulders of SQL.

We’ll cover some of the most recent enhancements!

We’ll explain some of the better and best practices!

Finally, Scott will show how users can start with Navigator, but finish with ACS, for those situations not handled by Navigator.

Ryan Moeller

Ryan Moeller is a Staff Software Engineer working on the SQL Query Engine (SQE) team within Db2 for i. Ryan joined the Rochester development lab in 2020, and he specializes in query optimization and database development, query performance analysis, SQL, and the latest and greatest Db2 for i tooling.

Business Architect Application Development & Systems Management for IBM i

Tim Rowe is the Business Architect responsible for Application Development and Systems Management for the IBM i operating system. His responsibilities include helping to make sure that the IBM i has what is needed to be successful both today and into the future. He sends much of his time also helping customers understand what is possible on our platform when it comes to modernization.
