Ohio Aerospace Institute presents an SAE International Webinar 

Engineers today face huge challenges as they juggle all the different sources of information they need to feed into their product lifecycle process.  Some of that information is interoperable with the tools they use to do their work, but a lot of it is not.  Industry standards, typically distributed via PDF, do not provide the digital interoperability required to fit into this new product development environment.  SAE is working to change that.  Join me to hear about what SAE is doing to promote best practices around the authoring and use of digital standards as well as what you can do to get involved!

Leslie McKay is a product management professional with over 20 years’ experience leading software and hardware product development projects.  Over half of her career has focused on developing successful products that leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning, specifically voice recognition and natural language processing solutions.  She won two User Experience Awards from Honeywell for leading a team to develop a voice-recognition system used to direct warehouse workers in distribution centers.  Leslie also led a team to deploy a voice-recognition system that directed workers through the inspection process of APUs sent for repair at over 20 Honeywell Aerospace Maintenance and Repair Operations facilities.  Leslie joined SAE International in 2021 to drive the adoption for the digital standards.  She is dedicated to establishing best practices for the authoring and use of digital standards in the product development lifecycle.
