The U.S. Small Business Administration Buffalo District Office and the Buffalo Niagara Chapter of SCORE will host Straight Talk 2024 on Saturday, January 20th at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Over the past 26 years, this program has attracted thousands of current and aspiring entrepreneurs from Western New York. Straight Talk exposes entrepreneurs and small business owners to a robust amount of information and resources that can help them start or grow their small business. 

The doors open at 8:00 a.m. at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center on January 20^th. The registration fee prior to the day of the conference is $20. Cost on the day of the Conference is $25.00. Students with current/valid identification pay $10.00, and veterans/military attend for free with proof of status. Registration fees include a continental breakfast and parking. 

Conference registrants will automatically be scheduled for the Business Basics introductory seminar to learn about business plans and other foundations of growing a successful business. Participants can select two additional seminars from the following list: • Boost Your Credit Score • Find Opportunities in Government Contracting • Financing Your Business • Social Media Marketing and E-Commerce • Pasos Esenciales Para Iniciar Un Negocio • “We Did It! You Can Too!” featuring a discussion by successful business owners • Finding the Right Idea • Brand Building and Reputation Management. 

But there is more to the Straight Talk experience than the January 20th Conference. Following the Conference, the Straight Talk Evening Series will begin on January 30th for six sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Buffalo & Erie County Central Library in Downtown Buffalo. The Straight Talk Evening Series provides additional information about starting, maintaining, and growing your own business. Those registering for the January 20th Conference are automatically registered for the sessions on the evenings of January 30^th and February 1, 6, 8, 13, and 15. What’s more, those attending the conference and all six evening series sessions will receive a certificate of completion.
