The Marshall Building’s structure is the oldest extant example of the “mushroom” flat-slab system developed by reinforced concrete construction pioneer Claude A.P. Turner. The technique transformed the design and construction of reinforced concrete floors worldwide.
Come celebrate on Tuesday, October 10th and learn more about this ASCE National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark up close and personal during ASCE Wisconsin’s final centennial celebration event. Also during the event we will be honoring the southeast branch’s most recent past-president, Jake Brunoehler, for his contributions to ASCE and the southeast branch.
