47th VJJA Fall Institute: November 14 & 15, 2023

VJJA invites you to register for the 47th Annual Fall Institute.
Venue:
The event will be held at the Hotel Madison and Shenandoah Valley Conference Center located at 710 S. Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA. A limited number of rooms are available at a discount conference rate of $98.00 (plus tax)* per night. (Two night total plus fees $220.11) There is a $5.00 a day parking fee. Make your hotel reservation by using the VJJA designated link RESERVATION LINK. The reservation deadline to ensure the conference rate is October 20th. Remember to double check and adjust your stay dates if needed. VJJA will provide a buffet breakfast and lunch each day of the conference.
Participant Registration:
Pre-registration is required. Registration is open to members and non-members. The two-day conference rate for members is $100.00. The non-member rate to attend the conference is $125.00. Single day registration rates are $55.00 for members and $75.00 for non-members. Checks and money orders are to be mailed and made payable to VJJA. Return checks will be assessed a $35 fee. No refunds of registration fees will be made after November 2, 2023. Member dues are non-refundable. **Attention DJJ Employees, special notice of instruction regarding registration: DJJ employees are responsible for following travel and training authorization guidelines. Pre-approval for conference attendance is required for reimbursement. Please contact your immediate supervisor for further instructions.**
Networking:
In addition to formal learning opportunities, participants will be afforded multiple opportunities for relationship-building with other professionals working with system-involved children from across the state. VJJA President Samantha Higgins will host the annual President's Reception. Multiple opportunites will be provided to network and build resources with Providers/Exhibitors who provide a multitude of services to at risk kids and families. A networking social will be held this year.

Meritorious Awards and Professional Development Scholalships:
Meritorious Awards and Professional Development Scholarships will be awarded during the Annual Membership Business Meeting to be held on Wednesday, November 15.
