Troilus and Cressida by William Shakespeare:
Love and Honor in a Time of War - A retreat by Stephen C. Rowan
In this retreat, we will reflect on how Shakespeare’s use of the ironic mode – like the dystopias of Orwell (1984) and Huxley (Brave New World) - implicitly provokes the desire for a way out and challenges an audience to find it. To benefit from the conferences, it is strongly advised that the play be read in advance.
There will be 5 meals (no Sunday lunch).
