    8:30 Introduction - Ann Hajnosz, Utility Management Committee Chair

    8:35 What to do when the asset management plan and budget get derailed by new         utility relocation projects? - Chris McCord, Maria Jawa and Marissa Landeis, Washington Department of     Commerce.  In this presentation, you will hear about: 1) Funding options to get an asset management plan developed; 2) impacts of stimulus funding for transportation projects on water projects; 3) Added impacts of the requirements from fish passage court case.

    9:30 Water Treatment Plant Asset Management through Major Changes - Kim Reid, Veolia, Wilsonville Water Treatment Plant Manager.  During the 21 years of operation of the Willamette River Water Treatment Plan, the asset management software has been changed twice.  We will explore priorities and how to engage operators and managers to use the database for best outcomes, especially with the addition of assets for the expanded plant.

    10:30 Asset Management Fundamentals:  Determing Remaining Useful Life - Erin McLachlan Sanchez, SRT Consultants.   This presentation provides options and scenarios for determing remaining useful life of an asset by assessing the condition and residual life factors that inform performance over time to understand when the asset is no longer the lowest cost alternative.  

    11:00 Data Management Strategies for Asset Management - Denzel Jones, Chris Guest and Thomas Keown.  Asset manament programs deliver large amounts of data that can be leveraged to determine future funding needs.  Covington Water District is implementing strategies to give clear direction to future funding needs.  The journey from program development to honing strategies will provide key takeaways.

    12:30 Managing Your Workforce to Support Asset Management  - Kim Reid and Erin McLachlan Sanchez.  Using soccer analogy highlighting teamwork, this roundtable exercise will engage participants in looking at the roles played in building an asset management strategy that performs for the utility.

    1:30 Asset Management Culture & Work Plan - Andy Tuchscherer, Sammamish Plateau Water.  Focus on Sammamish Plateau Water's asset management culture and ongoing work efforts to optimize the asset management program, including the team make-up, the work done to create a plan, and up-to-date progress on implementation.

    2:30 Break 

    2:45 Overcoming Asset Management Challenges - Brian Spindor, City of Enumclaw Water.  Gathering input from multiple stakeholders, this presentation will highlight concensus-based outcomes in the development of strategic asset management programs for several west coast water utilities.
