Fall Forum: Tapping Implementation Money for "Climate Smart" Improvements on Your Dairy!

If you are even thinking about implementing on-farm practices to benefit your dairy operation, and perhaps create financial opportunity in carbon markets, you want to get first in line to tap the new Climate-Smart Grant available through the Center for Dairy Excellence that is now open for application.  The PDMP Fall Forum will tell you everything you need to know about what practices the grant will fund, including what types of projects will be prioritized for implementation awards, how much money your dairy is eligible to obtain, and the "soup to nuts" on how to enroll and access these free monies and technical services.

There is over $10 million in this grant pool, and while that may seem like a lot, it will be competitive and the first applicants in will be the first considered for implementation dollars.  Be among the first producers to get all the information you need to tap these financial resources for your dairy operation by participating in the Fall Forum in Gettysburg on November 8th.

With our partners at the Center for Dairy Excellence and Penn State, we have developed an implementation program, using USDA Partnership for Climate Commodities funding, that is producer centric and farmer driven. You work with your farm team and technical service provider to develop a plan, choose what you want to implement, and test the climate market for the credits you gain from the practice the grant pays for.

Join us at the Fall Forum on November 8th to position your next on-farm improvement project to qualify for free technical services and implementation dollars.

There is no cost to producers to attend on November 8th and your registration includes a networking lunch and a unique twist on our traditional afternoon tour. After lunch, stay for a tour, at your own pace, of the "Beyond the Battlefield" Museum.  It's only a small taste of what we have in mind for the Ag industry in the next few years to connect consumers to where their food comes from.  Attend the Annual Meeting and learn more!
