At this webinar, Mr. Hedberg will discuss ethical and legal considerations with respect to the practice of engineering. Attendees will learn tips and pitfalls to avoid to ensure compliance with different ethical codes and laws that are applicable to the engineering profession, and in so doing, to reduce the risk of committing engineering malpractice. You will also learn the duties and responsibilities of an engineer while serving as a consultant or expert witness.
Frederick E. Hedberg is a member of the firm’s ConstructionLaw Group, with more than 20 years of experience handlingcomplex construction and commercial matters for his clients,both as a transactional attorney and as an experiencedlitigator. In addition to his legal experience, prior to becomingan attorney, Fred practiced as a licensed civil and structuralengineer for over 10 years, thereby gaining an in-depthknowledge and understanding of all phases of a constructionproject. Fred’s clients include public, institutional andprivate owners, developers, general and specialty contractors,design professionals, sureties, financial institutions andinsurance companies. Fred represents clients in federal andstate courts and before arbitration panels and administrativegovernmental tribunals on all types of project-related claimsand disputes.
