Review of basic subrogation principles primarily dealing with worker’s compensation, civil defense of a w.c. subrogation lien, and liens from Medicare and Medicaid. We will discuss what can be recouped by the lien holders and what cannot.

Attorneys will learn how a third-party claim effects an active worker’s compensation claim, both admitted and contested.

Mr. Unkeless will illustrate what information a civil defense attorney will need to obtain and analyze from the w.c. carrier and what the w.c. carrier needs to obtain from the third-party. He will also detail what a Jorgenson Hearing entails and what is needed and how to present your case for a proper allocation.
