Convert “Pushback” to “Push Forward” —
Unite Your Parent Community Around Academic Innovation and Cultural Change

Monday, January 22, 2024

1:00-2:00 PM ET/10:00-11:00 AM PT

The world you’re preparing your students for is not the world from which you came. After a global pandemic, the greatest social unrest our country has experienced in decades, and the birth of ChatGPT, schools face the challenge of preparing students for an unknown and ambiguous tomorrow. This necessitates curricular programs to innovate accordingly.

But as schools aim to innovate curricula to reflect these realities, they often encounter resistance, particularly from parents who cling to outdated notions of K-12 excellence. In contrast, vital skills like collaboration, creativity, communication, and adaptability are categorized as “nice to have.”

With parents being the constituent group that can either pave the way for or stand in the way of curriculum innovation in our schools, it’s imperative we use bolder thinking to meet the moment and set greater intentionality in how we engage them in this conversation. But how?

Join Romayne Levee, Mission Minded Partner & Director of Education Strategy, as she shares how Mission Minded has collaborated with schools and their parent communities to push the boundaries of education, converting parent pushback to push forward!

If you’re a school head, leader, or staff member responsible for parent and community engagement or are looking to align your community to implement curriculum innovation at your school, this workshop is for you. You’ll gain valuable methods and strategies to actively engage your parent community, fostering alignment, support, and enthusiasm to propel your school toward its full potential.

Please note: this webinar is available exclusively to members of The Heads Network. Not sure if your school is a member? Contact Jen Evers to find out!
