Free Screening of "Beverly Hills Cop"
on February 17th

A.K. Smiley Public Library's "Southern California in Film" series continues on Saturday, February 17th at 2pm with a screening of Beverly Hills Cop at the Contemporary Club.

A comedy classic, Beverly Hills Cop follows Detroit Detective Axel Foley as he travels to Beverly Hills to investigate the murder of his childhood friend. Starring Eddie Murphy, Beverly Hills Cops was the first of a trilogy of films and has come to be considered one of the best comedies of the late 20th century. The movie was filmed throughout Southern California and includes such architectural icons as the Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, Cal Tech, and Beverly Hills City Hall.

This film is rated R for mature content. Registration is requested, but not required. No admission is charged for film screenings, thanks to the generous contributions of donors to the library.
