Event Abstract

Join us for a practical and engaging session on how to apply INCOSE Vision 2035 to the Canadian context of systems engineering. You will learn how to:

  • Understand the key drivers and trends that shape the future of systems engineering, such as societal needs, environmental challenges, technological innovations, system complexity, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Adapt to the changing system dynamics and leverage the opportunities for systems engineering in Canada, such as digital transformation, sustainability, smart systems, and complexity management.
  • Enhance your systems engineering skills and competencies, and gain a competitive edge in the global market.

This session is designed for anyone who is interested in the practical implications and applications of INCOSE Vision 2035, and who wants to contribute to the advancement of systems engineering in Canada.

Speaker Bio

Ivan Taylor is the President of Policy Dynamics Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in systems engineering, policy analysis, and decision support. He has over 33 years of experience as a defense scientist at the Centre for Operational Research in Defense R&D Canada, where he is now a Scientist Emeritus. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy, an M.Sc. in Information and Systems Science, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics (Honours). He is an active member of INCOSE since 2020, and a contributor to the Resilient Systems Working Group and the Social Systems Working Group. He has presented at the INCOSE International Workshop in 2021 and 2022.
