On Thursday, February 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM PST, BreastfeedLA presents Introduction to Bodywork for Feeding Outcomes, a webinar featuring Dairian Roberts, MS, OTR/L, IBCLC, PMH-C. Bodywork and occupational therapy play crucial roles in supporting breastfeeding/chest feeding by addressing physical and functional aspects that may impact feeding experience. Bodywork focuses on optimizing the body’s alignment, relieving tension, and improving overall musculoskeletal function. By combining bodywork and lactation care, a comprehensive approach is taken to promote a positive and comfortable feeding experience for both parent and baby.

This workshop will explore bodywork modalities and how they support infant feeding, including which providers can support pediatric clients during feeding challenges.

Dairian Roberts, MS, OTR/L, IBCLC, PMH-C
Dairian became an occupational therapist in 2013 and immediately began her career in handtherapy. Eventually, she transitioned to outpatient hand therapy where she had theopportunity to also work in rehab and intensive care units. Motherhood changed that realquick. The birth of her son in 2017 changed the trajectory of her career. She trained as apostpartum doula and uniquely combined her skills from hand therapy to supportingpostpartum women, specifically those after cesarean. Within this newfound passion, Dairiandecided to further specialize in lactation and infant feeding. After her own HBAC (home birthafter cesarean), Dairian sat for the board exam to become an international board certifiedlactation consultant (IBCLC). She prides herself on providing holistic, comprehensive, compassionate care while remaining relatable and realistic.

After the webinar a recording will be sent to all registrants to view for up to 1 year after the live event, therefore no refunds will be granted. It is the responsibility of the participant to view the recording while it is available. This webinar will not be available for sale later.

Payment must be made during the time of online registration using a credit or debit card. If you need to make alternate payment arrangements such as a company check to be mailed to BreastfeedLA, you MUST pay the General Registration rate and contact info@breastfeedla.org. No Early Bird registration rates will apply to payments by check. This policy is in effect as of Aug 1, 2017.
Continuing Education Credits
RN: BreastfeedLA is an approved provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing. This course offers 2.0 contact hours of continuing education.
BreastfeedLA’s provider number is CEP 16435. Licensee must maintain certificate for a period of four years.
