2024 Grain Grading Seminar
Evaluating and managing grain quality is an important part of a successful business for Michigan’s country elevators and grain handlers. On Thursday, March 7, MABA is bringing back a Grain Grading Seminar in partnership with staff of The North Dakota Grain Inspection (NDGI).
At this session, NDGI experts will provide a classroom briefing on grain grading covering corn, soybeans, wheat, as well as providing small-group discussion to provide basic grain grading best practices, and train grain handlers in efficient and effective inspection of grain in accordance with the official US Standards for Grain.
This session is designed to be a refresher for experienced grain graders as well as an essential training course for new graders who aren’t as familiar with official grading procedures.
Agenda:
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Corn and Soybean Standards, Evaluation and Grading
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch and Update from the Michigan Agri-Business Association
