"Bad Therapy": Clinician Microaggressions and Dignity Injury

This training event will award  2 contact hours for LMSW and LCSW with the NYSED State Board for Social Work and 2 contact hours for LMHC and LMFT with the NYSED State Board for Mental Health Practitioners and 2 CASAC renewal credits.

This workshop explores issues that negatively impact every day therapeutic practice like microaggressions, dignity injury, and the experiences that leave clients feeling like they just had "bad therapy." This workshop will cover the interconnected dynamics of burnout, neurobiology, listening skills, and therapeutic voice. Attendees will learn how to refine their communication skills to minimize microaggressions and uphold dignity, fostering professional efficacy and personal well-being.
