Alchemy of Unfinished Business: A Pilgrimage through the 8x Vessels

Peter Shea

(Recording available for 1-week*)

6 PDA's

(NCCAOM & California applied*)

This class looks at how “unfinished business”- desires, plans, goals, dreams, lessons- accumulate overtime and how this impacts the Yuan Qi and our health. We will explore the 9 Heart Palaces and the cycles of 7 & 8 and see how a lack of completion in these themes and these periods of our life leads to stagnation and deficiency in the Jing and Blood. We will look at Daoist aspects of pilgrimage as a way of finding completion in these unresolved themes and how the acupuncture points and channels of the 8 Extraordinary Vessels can be approached in the same manner to help improve health and quality of life.

In this course, students will learn:

 - How memories, regrets and nostalgia use the resources of Blood and Marrow in the body;

 - How emotions are held in latency in the Wei Vessels and the Dai Mai Acupuncture Point and Channel Energetics for the 8x Vessels;

- How to diagnose 8x Vessel patterns using physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms; and

- How to create treatment plans using the 8x vessels for a variety of CM patterns.
