The German American Business Outlook 2024 will be covered by panelists:
The German American Business Outlook (GABO) had been done annually since 2009 by the German American Chambers of Commerce. They conduct a survey targeted to German subsidiaries in the US to assess current economic developments and trends in transatlantic business. The GABO is one of the most important economic indicators of German American business relations. A briefing of the report will be presented by Matthias Hoffmann, President & CEO of the German American Chamber of Commerce South.
Alabama Department of Commerce's European Office Director, Christoph Doerr, that will give a briefing on the German (and European) market in general and their outlook of investing in Alabama in the near future. He will also talk to the energy issues in Europe.
The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is making substantial investment in climate and clean energy solutions throught innovative tax incentives, grant programs, and loan guarantees. Alabama Office Director for the Export Assistance Center, U.S. Department of Commerce, Robert Stackpole, will share how the department expect the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) will affect the Foreign Direct Investments in the states and how it the IRA is promoted in Europe.
